2008 990 with 2010 ECU cure throttle issues?

Does anyone have any advice on if a 2010 ecu in a 2008 990adv fix the snatchy throttle issue?
I've looked at the tuneecu stuff, and I don't feel comfortable playing around with the mapping programs. There is a lot I don't know and don't want to cause any damage.

Wondered if this would be a good alternative.

Thanks!

500cc two-strokes are effective as laxatives too.

Firstly the 2010 ecu is going to look for a immobilizer input and therefore not work until it finds one.

2009 and onwards have an immobilizer fitted to the bike which means you need a matching coded key. Theoretically it would be possible to make it work but you would need the whole set up from the same donor bike. Buying new would be a massive head ache not to mention expensive.
Some people are doing the opposite to what you want to do so as to eliminate the possible disaster if the immobilizer unit fails (and some have) Maybe someone will swap you.
I have a 07 and a 12 and I don't think there's much difference anyway, they're both a touch abrupt on and off the throttle, so what just ride it.
