NI Ride 2014 Vancouver Island Aug 1st-4th

Hi Folks, I'm a little late on this one due to my move south, going to give this one a go again if anyone is interested... This years ride will take us towards the Cape Scott area in a caravan fashion camping at a different spot each night... The plan is for a Friday evening departure out of Campbell river and work our way north... A link to last years ride: http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=882849

Possible Route
Day 1- Departure time: 4:00 PM from the hwy 19/ hwy 28 Esso in Campbell River... From there we will take the TCAT route from Campbell Lake to Sayward and then North from there... We will use the same campsite as last year for the first night... The campsite will be 2-3 km north down the highway from Woss... Turn left off the hwy onto the power line trail, then take the first trail to the left and follow it to the end {1-2KM} to find camp...

Day 2- {forest fire dependent} Take the TCAT to Woss and then head for Kinman/ Numas and the cave trail {alternate gravel route to the cave trail is available} Will work the roads northwest and end up at Nahwitti Lake for the night...

Day 3- Take a circle route up to the windtowers , down the backside valley and head back south along Holberg and Rupert Inlets taking the day to get south to a variable camping spot...

Day 4 - return back to Campbell River by mid day...

Yep, it's always good for the big bikes, if gnarly stuff is on the route I always include an alternate way for the big bikes and less experienced riders...

Hey Chris, we'll catch you the next time around...

Looks like a small contingent this year which I don't mind, makes it more relaxing for me..

I need a confirmation to who is going to make it on Friday and what time they figure on being in Campbell River on Friday afternoon/evening so I can select a camping spot for the first night...

Timings

I am trying to pin down what works best and it looks like around 4 PM -5PM Friday evening, the late comers can meet us at the camp... I am thinking of camping along the TCAT somewhere down from white Gold pass, I would ride out and meet up with Yatman and any other later travellers around 9ish in Gold River and show them back to camp...

Jeez, GunnerB, I sure would like to make it, for a day or 2.

Dealing with the oil-tank-in-the-backyard blues, here in Vancouver.
If this thing gets straightened out ............
