Installed PCV on 4th of July. I took my time and read my service manual on how to remove/install everything. Took me 4 hours, next time less than 2 hours. The PCV was an easy install, it was the open up...Got it all back together and it wouldn't start. I think I must have forgot a connector somewhere. Figured out that it would start with the kick stand up. I have no MTC and no gear indication. Took it for a ride this morning anyway. It had an idle surge between 1400 and 1500 rpm (cat removed caused this). This is now gone, very smooth and steady at 1450 rpms. The jerkiness in slow riding is now gone, very smooth. Very nice so far. I will test highway when I figure out where I went wrong putting things back together again. Stayed with the stock configuration map right now.
It appears you maybe the first 1190 with PCV, Im not sure on this and stand corrected if I'm wrong. Do you plan to put the 1190 on the dyno? Also we would like a few indepth write up on how the bike is running/responding to the PCV, what gains you have in power and smoothness.. Many Thanks buddy
I fitted a PCV to my mates 2013 1190 yesterday we had no problems with the install. I fitted one of the same 1190 PCV's + Auto Tune to my 1290 SD, we will both be on the Dyno in the coming weeks for custom mapping: http://www.ktmsmt.com/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=6511&start=180
Yep, thanks Kev! Holy Smokes Batman, what a difference that makes!!! I imagine some will say why, it has enough power as it is, but if you are the sort that says why not, or don't want that emissions flat spot, then I say do it!!! In particular if you don't mind doing wheelies out of any corner or on any straight, or where ever you want............ And for those that reckon the Multi is faster, well wack on of these bad boys on and I reckon you may have a different opinion!!! Thanks to Chris at Rottweiler, amazing service, and no, no affiliation just appreciation for good service! Can't wait for those air boxes to come out Chris!!!
What happens to the different settings (sport, street, rain, off-road) when you fit the PCV? '13 1190R '13 FE350
Cool, thanks. I assumed PCV adjusted ignition timing as well so thought it might've only adjusted the high HP map '13 1190R '13 FE350
Is there a PC-V with built in ignition timing control available for the KTM 1190? I know the original PC-V was fuel delivery only, but for some 'bikes there is a new combined unit which incorporates ignition timing as well. Also does Autotune generate both fuel and ignition timing maps if you have the appropriate version of PC-V?
The ignition system on these bikes is a bit harder to control than your old school ignition systems. The new PCV only does fuel, yes you can Advance fuel map each cylinder separately using Auto Tune or on the Dyno if you have the 18mm O2 sensor bungs welded in, if you don't do the 18mm bungs then a PCV Basic map can be built for both cylinder with the Dyno probe up the exhaust pipe. The PCV determines the ignition & fuel map pre-sets, the Auto Tune just tunes to the set A/F ratio targets that you set it at.

http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=984192 Also with the auto tune, DynoJet recommends to block or disable the SAS.
I feel the bike is a bit smother and no decel pop. Have done it on three big ktms and like what it does
I put my PCV on a about 10 days ago and love it. Since I was down there I did remove the SAS with the Stage III kit from Rottweiler Performance - great kit!
Hi, did you manage to get the gear indicator back? And did it help much with the heat? I temporarily fitted the PCV to my Adventure 1190 2013 whilst in trying to sort the temperature sensor. I ended up taking it back out as I need to take the bike to the dealer to change the sensor (it was the wrong one) and also want them to look at the bike stock as it is pretty rough throughout the rev range unless accelerating relatively hard. So I recon it best to start from a good baseline before tinkering. But after taking it back out the gear indicator shows no signs of life and the bike cuts out every time the side stand goes down.
