No worries Gary, let us know what gear you need. May be able to round you up some boots & a jacket. The DR has a couple of topbox options depending on how much stuff you need to take. The bike's owner is rather partial to Port so grab him a good bottle on the way through duty free.

If the pig can handle being trailer trash for a bit I think Colin was planning on coming up.

Cheers

Provided the pig has no issue's with being trailer trash as far as Clints place, I am sure there is space on the car arieal where he can sit

What time are we leaving your place Clint?
And do I need to be on time this year or is late ok as per normal for me?

Leaving 3pm Friday for Rangitaiki - on time would be good - turn up a bit earlier if you want a cuppa tea & lunch, I'll be home from 1 ish. Anybody coming over from Tauranga direction that wants to join in be at the Te-Teko turnoff at 3:30. May even throw in a short bit of trail riding past Minginui if pace/weather/track conditions all cooperate.

Cheers
Clint

Been a scouting out a new challenge section in Whirinaki

Yeah... Nah.

Maybe here?

Unfortunately the 'bush bashing' to 'interesting' ratio of the rest of that track was pretty shit. So we're going to go down through Okurapoto like last time.

Might have to get myself a new battery for the KTM... I seem to recall it only just squeezed out a start in the frost last year & it hasn't seemed very lively lately.

Cheers
Clint

Apparently batteries are important, even on fuel injected bikes that start rurly good in the cold, or so I have heard

Hi Clint, I am coming through from Tauranga via Pyes Pa Rd. Can you message me with your address. It would be great if I could catch up at your place. I'm an old newbie back on a bike (DR650)after too many years so would appreciate the company. cheers Graeme

Bugger, I don't even have a global positioning sheep.
Where do you find one? Do they have a satelite dish attached or do I need to buy accessories as well? Do I need a tinfoil hat? Do they need feeding? Do they need walks, comfort stops?
You country people really should consider the skill sets we town dwellers have, introducing a foreign concept is quite upsetting at this late stage and your stock agents really weren't much use either. Clearly I got the moron of the month employee when I rang this morning, he had no idea nor could he provide any usefull information.

I'm going to look on Facebook, wish me luck!
