Question looking for welders in the Ely, NV area

Does anyone know of any decent welders near Ely, NV? All of the ones I've talked to won't touch my bike because of liability. I broke the rear subframe and mounting tabs on my 950 adv and need to find a place to have it welded up. The tabs are steel, likely chromoly. Of you have any ideas, please post back here or PM me. The rest of the TAT is waiting, hah.

Okay, I'll check it out later today or tomorrow. Thanks for the tip.

The subframe is a combination of Aluminum extrusions and some forgings if I recall correctly.

The main frame if cromolly.

You will want it to be Tig welded most likely, regardless make sure your disconnect the ECU before you do any welding on the frame/bike. I would also disconnect the battery and pull all my fuses just to be safe.

Also make sure who ever does the welding places the ground as close to the actual weld this will help mitigate any damage to electronics when the HF arc starts.

I'm actually completely replacing the subframe. It's too damaged to be repared with welding, and if I did try, it wouldn't last long. Should be here in a few days... yay, waiting in a hotel room...

Disconnecting the battery effectively opens all circuits on the bike, so that is enough, and that's what I did. I've done a lot of welding (mig, mostly) on various vehicles; I've never had an issue just pulling the negative lead.

The frame is 4130 chromoly, but the tabs are (I believe) 1020 or 1030 mild steel based on appearance. I didn't actually break a tube, just the tab that the subframe mounts to on the top.

I did find a place called W.S.E to the east of Ely that was able to help out. The owner, Robert, is a KTM guy as well. Hopefully this will help out if anyone else is stuck in the area.
