Proper Pronunciation Is Essential

How do you pronounce this word, Klim.

I say "climb" - a long I.

My brother's pronunciation would rhyme with limb, or rim - short "I".

Who's right?

You are from what I understand. I've also heard that retailers get their tailfeathers in an uproar if you mispronounce it.

According to Wiki it's "climb".

Not only bike gear - running gear is as bad - try the Hoka One One (oh-nay oh-nay). End of the day though, as long as you're buying it., I reckon you can call it whatever you want - fingers crossed it's not a PoS.

i was corrected once as well...so now i'm careful to say 'climb' when referring to Klim.

another one that gets me is Givi...pronounced "jeevy". I have to think about the old fictional English butler character Jeeves so I can remind myself that it's not pronounced the way I see it spelled.

For Acerbis I would say acer-bis, just like it's spelled but a dealer said a-chair-bis. He sounded correct at least

And if you go to the Klim website and watch their propaganda videos, it's also pronounced: Climb. I'm gonna assume that the pronunciation used on the company website is correct.

Back many moons ago when I worked at a KTM shop , boss wore an Acerbis tee from the manufacturer that was picture perfect.
Had a large A , then a picture of a chair , then another A , then a swarm of Bees. Achairabees.
I said it wrong for a long time.........

A shibboleth (/ˈʃɪbəlɛθ/[1] or /ˈʃɪbələθ/[2]) is a word or custom whose variations in pronunciation or style can be used to differentiate members of ingroups from those of outgroups. Within the mindset of the ingroup, a connotation or value judgment of correct/incorrect or superior/inferior can be ascribed to the two variants.

Not to be confused with Shub-Niggurath...
