Good rear tire in Nicaragua

I'm in Nicaragua and will be here for another 10 days or so before moving down south. Riding 2009 KLR650. Was wondering if anyone has recommendation where I can buy good rear tire. I've already been to number of bigger and smaller stores in Managua including Kawa dealer and Casa Pellas, also mercado - no luck. Right now I'm close to Rivas where I also checked stores and mercado with no luck. I got 130/80/17 and ideally would like to stick with this size. One size up or down would work too though, as long as it's good quality tire.

I went to KTM in Managua last December. They hadn't got their order yet but had intended to stock tires. I never did find 17" tires til I got to Costa Rica and ordered a set.

Best bet is try to make it to costa rica, and get them here, better options in san jose, i can go to the shop and see what's in stock,

Hey teevee, thanks for the offer but I think I'm looking for something a little less aggro as I don't do much more than basic offroading and I do a lot of wandering/mileage so I dont think it is the best tire for me.

Ideally I'd make it to Panama City, because I am going to catch the ferry and likely fly home from Cartagena so I could just choose tires at home and bring them back. I am a little more than 1mm from the bar (the little limit in the tread that signals for replacement) and I'm 766 miles from Panama City (in Leon).

I think I'll wait til I cross into Costa Rica, see where I'm at, and decide if I want to source in CR or just push on to Panama.

Wow Pepe thanks for the offer, it's really generous. If you could just provide me w the number of the shop I'll give them a call and if my Spanish fails me maybe I'll take you up on your first offer.

If it's possible to make it to Panama it'd likely be cheaper.

Thanks Pepe, I'm in Liberia now and it looks like the tire will likely make it to Panama City. My plan is to ride another 80ish miles to Puntarenas and then make a decision about heading to San Jose to get the tire. In the past 500 miles I've been checking the tire daily and haven't noticed a difference. I'm still about a millimeter of tread before recommended replacement.

Thanks again for your help. I took down A1s address in case I decide to make the detour.

Hey Robbbb if you get tyres in panama, let us know what you found and for how much, if it's a good deal, might be worth a 3 day trip to buy tyres there
