Any Rocket Scientist Jobs In Colorado?

I'm tired of the heat and humidity in Alabama. Someone find me a rocket scientist job in Colorado please!

Check out Beyond.com, and search for Colorado jobs. That - or - go to Raytheon (Aurora), Honeywell (Colo. Sprgs), and Lockheed Martin (Littleton) websites and look for CO TTAC and software control positions. Something might spin your propeller from those places.

UAL is in the Denver Tech Center. Mostly project management. You also have Ball Aerospace in Boulder and Digitalglobe is in Longmont, CO. Theres a long list. Boeing is also in CO. However, I believe they do sigint for DOD with Raytheon at Buckley AFB. Lots of classified DOD stuff goes on in and around Denver and south towards Colorado Springs (Petersen AFB). I do not think is rocket scientists work but who knows its all classified) The only ones I beleve actually build rockets, rocket engines and or satellites, is Lockheed/Martin in Jefferson county west of Denver and Ball Aerospace. The road to get to it, Deer Creek Canyon, its an awesome ride for sport bikes. Funny fact, Ball makes sateliites and beer cans.

I think you mean ULA? (United Launch Alliance) That's Littleton (I think).

LM has several sites around the area. Littleton, Highlands Ranch, Boulder, N. Colo Springs and efforts on Buckley AFB (Aurora) and Peterson AFB (COS). (And maybe more - it's hard to get that kind of information - even internally)

Bear in mind that HR's job is to ensure nobody gets hired. So your resume has to have all the right buzzwords to get past the pre-qual shredder.
I've even heard that a good trick to pass the shredder filter is to put a lot of keywords in white-on-white font on your resume so the system will see them but you don't have to use them in sentences.

Just an FYI llnl.gov isn't in New Mexico.

Gee a rocket scientist should be able to find a rocket scientist job. After all I am no rocket scientist and I am gainfully employed.

For now.

I moved from Huntsville to the Springs many years ago and my only regret was not moving sooner.

I'm not sure if I'm even qualified for that. Mine always seem to fly squirrelly, or burn up the parachute upon deployment. But hey, NASA had lots of bloopers in the beginning.

Thanks for the replies and please forgive my delay in getting back. Our (wife and I) third and final son is headed down to Auburn for college tomorrow and we've been super busy getting them ready.

It was 90+% humidity yesterday. Rained half the day. Rain everyday... I'm going to start looking in earnest as soon as we get them set up. For a family that loves to ski, ride, climb, hike, camp, and just hang out outside it will probably be easier to get them to come home to CO than to Huntsville!
