I'm riding solo through Honduras, Guatemala, and perhaps Mexico. I'm not stupid, I know there are risks, but I think that if I follow the wisdom from this site that I've collected I have a very good chance of having a fine trip. I left North Carolina 12K miles ago, and so far all good. Knock on wood. ANYWAY ... getting to the point, the iOverlander app. does not seem to have a lot of detail on "trouble spots" to avoid. It has been brought to my attention by my significant other that there are several other smartphone apps. that claim to give advise of high-crime/dangerous areas. Two of them are: SafeAround, and Safe Around Me Anybody have any experience with this or any similar apps? The coverage on SafeAround does not have much when it comes to CA.
