My apologies if I've posted in the wrong section.... I am looking for the cheapest (without damage!) way to ship a bike from Kahului, Maui to San Diego, California in April. I am open to shipping it on a metal skid or packed with other peoples' stuff in a container as an LCL (less than container load). It will be delivered to the port in Kahului and picked up, by me, at the San Diego port. Thanks in advance for any suggestions, leads, recommendations, etc.!!!
Have been using uship dot com for 20+ years, just pick the bid with positive reviews and rating and be flexible on time.
I used to ship bikes back and forth from Portland and Hawaii with Honolulu Freight Service. It has been quite a while, and the cost was practically free, somewhere around $150. You have to crate the bike. It isn't San Diego but they have a terminal in Los Angeles--Montebello.
