It appears that Classic Legends is indeed bringing an adventure motorcycle to market.  The first indications came via spy shots and video of the machine wearing camouflage.   But now, it appears that the bike is for real.

Motorbeam is publishing two pictures of what they say is the production-spec Yezdi adventure bike.  It will supposedly be a direct competitor to Royal Enfield’s Himalayan model.   Surprisingly, both shots show the bike without the benefit of any camouflage, and you can clearly see Yezdi branding on both the bike itself and the apparent bike tester.

The pics show the new Yezdi with a circular headlight, small windscreen, and handguards.  We can also see that there’s a right way up telescopic suspension with fork gaiters at the front.  At the rear,  the suspension seems to be a monoshock design.  A single disc handles the stopping duties at both the front and back of the machine.  Its wheels are spoked and are shod with “adventure-ish” tires.   Interestingly, there are both high and low mounted mudguards at the front of the bike.

Engine

There’s no news about any of the engine specifics.  However, it does appear to be a water-cooled single-cylinder design. Some reports suggest that the bike will use the same 293 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine currently in the Jawa and 42.  If that’s the case, the Yezdi adventure bike should make about 27 hp and 20 lb-ft of torque.

There’s also a chance that the new Yezdi adventure machine could get the Jawa Perak’s 334 cc single-cylinder engine that makes slightly more power.  It produces about 30 hp and 24 lb-ft of torque.

As an adventure bike, there are plenty of accessories like panniers, an engine guard, and dual auxiliary fuel tanks.
