Well, it's near Father's day and it's time to head to the Oregon desert again. Originally I was planning on heading out with Wachs and crew but new job requirements and potential for wifelessness upon my return changed the plan a little. Enter Leisureclub, KMA and StroupDog. An alternate plan was hatched and it begins tonight. Stay tuned FF'ers.

Greg (Leisureclug) and I left Bend 6am; we railed it to Green Mountain Lookout via CH and 23 and met Jim (KMA) and Brad (Baconsammich) who camped Wed night. We chatted a bit while they packed them railed it on into CV for gas and Hostess Cupcakes and buiscuits and gravy. On into Fandango... Greg fixing his front pinch flat, Brad coming back to see what was the holdup........
Promotional considerations paid for by....... Random day one photos... Brad lifting the front as we came back from soaking in the hot springs, don't say nothing bout ATGATT, this is the PLAYA! We rode to soak in shorts and ball caps. Life can't be better than this! More........
I'll catch up here shortly, work is slowing me down a bit...don't skip ahead to Day 2 yet gay-tards! KMA, the only non-Giant Loop equipped, re-packing his load after he lost it all!
So, 4 days of roaming around the Alvord desert of southcentraleastern Oregon. Rough plans around a counter-clockwise loop starting and finishing in Bend. Wednesday night KMA and I camp at Green Mtn, just north of Christmas Valley. Rather chilly night, but not bad... Leisure and Stroup show up at right around 8am and we're off, quick fuel stop in Christmas Valley and we're headed towards Plush and eventually Fields or somewhere close. 395 to Hogback Rd. Hart Mtn. Store in Plush Hart Mtn. road Dry Lake Lots of this out there this go-around... more...

Greg is a sit-down rider and he does just fine. I can't keep up with him through the roughest stuff. Let me guess, Greg was the one who routed you guys down "KMA Road" right? Greg likes finding the rockiest "roads" to ride. Keep 'er comin' boys!
It's a shame I couldn't go on this one. Mega is my middle name! Looks like a frickin' blast! Stop draggin' ass and keep postin' pics!!!
Day two, Denio is the destination. Across the playa we go chasing the orange lights we saw the night before. We still have no idea what they were. I'm not exactly sure at first what we're gonna run into or even sure if I will be able to find the trail off the end of the playa... Up into the monkey dunes and across to the old windmill... Up into the canyon... Practically groomed... Gay cola at the shepherd's cabin... more...
Denio is in sight from our high perch, we're at 7000+ feet up here: The only other people we saw out here today. UTV loaded with firewood and adorned with Confederate flags. Before they showed up I think I heard a gunshot. Probably plinking jackrabbits... Debate ensues here whether we should press on into Denio thru the rain or turn back to Fields. We're about halfway between both with Fields looking like the drier of the two... We had a loop planned outside of Denio that none of us had ridden so we hope for the best and press south for burgers and hopefully a dry ride later. We DID get a little wet coming in... Where's Waldo? Can you spot the ADV sticker? It wasn't too cold just yet, but it wasn't warming/drying up much either... more...
