Ok thanks, ill check that out. Have you filled it at the pump yet ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have the Profill from Vanasche as well, it's more of a trapezoid than rectangle like the one you have @DockingPilot I've filled mine with the Profill and it slows the fueling down some but I think it's worth that slight inconvenience.
Beat me to it. The doinker costs extra. Maybe one of us could buy the doinker and send it around to each other and paypal 25 cents to it's rightful owner when we use it?
I got it. Only $5 , but Im hesitant to shove down there beyond the 90’ bend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Is the hole bigger when you remove the filler neck? If it is the remove it and put the sock through the neck and then the sock into the tank, slide the neck back into place and bolt back up. Steve
Did that too Steve. The top part of that filter I have is too wide and cant expand even with filler neck removed. Plus the right angles going down. Dam tight in there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I know it's tight but I didn't realize it was that tight. You have to be careful when filling the tank or it sprays out, guess how I know Steve
Anybody know what kind of electrical connector is used for the Gauge module? I e-mailed Trail Tech about it, but the connector that they told me they used was incorrect.
I guess so far, none of us here have the Guglatech pre fuel filter ? This will be my second try at one. Th 1st was the Twin Air and it was impossible to fill the tank with fuel at the pump. Would take about 30 mins with fuel sprayed all over. That got tossed into the dust bin. But the Guglatech was $100 and Im hesitant to shove in the tank making it unreturnable if it will not work. Did you contact the developer? https://advrider.com/index.php?thre...-ultra-4-air-filters-for-motorcycles.1279607/ Didn’t know he made air filters too... My 990 prefilters are Australian (Profill?) and only about 3” x 8”. I’m pretty sure the Gugle guy says they are not a fine enough filter but hey, life is a compromise. If you pull them and check them after filling (takes 2 seconds) you can catch any water and toss it before it has a chance to (slowly) penetrate through the filter. Been working for me for years.
Are you guys aware of the Profill inlet filter which installs at the pump? I have had very good results with these and have not used the filler neck style you are discussing. Just wondered...
Question from someone who doesn't have one of these, but would like to. Why is this fuel filter necessary?
Rade tank for sale in flea market https://advrider.com/index.php?threads/rade-tank-for-husky-701.1336075/
does anyone have any experience with the internals of the throttle/ kill switch / start control? I pulled mine apart and bit off a little more than I can chew and want to ask a few questions. Thanks
Not really needed in normal urban use but if you end up getting fuel from a old filling station with dirty tanks it helps stop the dirt before your pump filter, if the pump filter gets blocked it can cause problems for the pump. If you're traveling in areas that supply fuel from drums etc then it's really needed. Steve
