@Gerg Thank you for this information, is the road open to Kennedy Meadows from both sides. From the 395 and also the Sherman Pass side down into Kern. I was up there about 3-4 weeks ago rode up from 395 but the Sherman Pass down into Kern was still closed. I have a little spot near Fish Creek that I like to camp. Thank you:-)

I'm pretty sure that Sherman is still closed. We went in and out via Canebreak Road. That is in very good shape. Easy to do 30+ mph most of the way in the jeep.
When having a burger at the General Store we saw several dirt bikers head up the hill and return shortly after they left. That where I'm making the assumption. Coming off 395 they usually have a sign if the pass is closed.
Someone told me that Fish Creek Camp WILL be open soon. Given it's layout you certainly can maintain distance AND none of those sites will accommodate large groups.

Thank you Greg. I always support the general store in Kennedy Meadows, great little independent store Doing good work in the community. They are a waystation on the PW trail and collect all the packages for the hikers so they can have new gear to continue. It is also a pretty good hamburger. :-)

NP, I've been going up there every year for over 15 years. I liked the old owners (from 2-3 years ago) better than the new owners. That said the new owners are trying their best to promote the place.

Grumpy Bear's has taken some of the General Store's business. That changed hands a couple years ago as well. They, somehow, got a trail cut from the PCT down to their facility. They are doing the package delivery now too.

That sucks. What does this mean in terms of what you are not permitted to do? (if this is too much CSM for this thread then feel free not to answer)
