That's good to know. If the OEM needle has been rattling around in a box of random parts, look at it really closely, under magnification if at all possible, just to make sure it isn't bent or damaged.

It has been in the dynojet plastic segmented case which includes all of the extra jets.

I ordered a cutoff valve that will hopefully work. Also sent an email to dynojet with the same explanation here and asked for their tuning advice. Will see what I hear back from them.

Outstanding! It's always good to have the pros on your side when it comes to tuning. For what it's worth, I think once you get valve replaced, the jets sorted, and have the OEM needle in there shimmed with that washer you'll either be good to go or be very much closer than you are now. The good thing is that if you have to err and make the bike lean or fat it's good to go fat, and from what you've said I think that's where you are. It wouldn't surprise me if your plug looked like this...

With the warp9 17 inch rim the two rear spacers look identical but they are different. The wheel would only install with the spacers in the correct side. It’s also a lot tighter fit than the oem wheel. That might be the issue you are having, I’m fairly certain I have the same cush hub just laced to a 17.

I also had to pop the brake pads out the get the wheel in the there, you could try that.

Assuming the spacing is correct from the right spacer to rotor to sprocket, is it possible to take 4mm off the left spacer, (2mm on the inside and 2mm on the outside) and still make the seal work?

We got out to ride today, no rain, mostly clear skies.
Colder than a sombitch. Forest roads were slippery as hell and so much fun.
We hit big patches of snow, about 2-3” deep, and it got interesting.
I’d prefer all the slip and slide and ice to the last mile or so of railroad rightofway gravel. That shit will make you pay attention for sure.

First cocktail stop at 11:20. Yeah let’s have drinks before we cross a dilapidated wooden bridge. Closed to traffic because you can see through portions of the wood surface to the river 60’ below B10FD497-B790-4749-87EC-87F580497100.jpeg D9DE525C-965D-458E-88DD-7141B6BEF138.jpeg

Lunch in the sun. More cocktails.
It’s been below 40* all day. I packed hot roasted golden potatoes and scrambled eggs.
I’ve rarely been so happy to eat a hot potato.

In talking with Barron yesterday he went and looked at his wheel only to find that Warp 9 had sent him wrong spacers. 20mm axle hole not 17 mm

You can take close to a pound off the rear wheel with the titanium sprocket and brake rotor bolts. Plus they look incredible.

If someone was worried about that 16oz's they probably wouldn't be riding an "L", how much would one have to spend to get rid of the other 90 pounds the ole pig carries around?

It’s unsprung weight. Removing a pound from a wheel makes a lot bigger difference than a pound sprung by the shock or forks.
Yes she’s a heavy girl and that’s not going to change but that kind of weight on the wheel you can feel.

I don’t have a lot to add around these parts because I don’t have hardly half the riding or wrenching exp. as our regulars, but I’ll say again it’s a delight following along here with you all.
